Summary

The Senior Information Assistant (Research Support) at Royal Holloway, University of London is responsible for managing records and files of University research publications, supporting the collection of information for the Research Excellence Framework, and ensuring research publications are Open Access (OA). The role entails data input, information validation, record management, and compliance with OA and citation requirements.

The candidate needs at least A level education or equivalent, professional qualifications in librarianship or information science, or relevant work experience. They should be confident with IT applications, accurate with data input, able to work under deadlines, and understand detailed documentation. Experience in a research or library environment, knowledge of copyright and licensing issues, and experience with creating, editing, and checking information records are also required.

The role involves liaising with staff, students, and academic departments and may require working at any location where Royal Holloway conducts business. The role is full-time and the post holder will report to the Head of Library Research Support.
