Academic Services Manager
The University of East London is seeking an Academic Services Manager to lead the Academic Services Librarians team. This role entails providing information and digital literacy programs, research support, and working on strategic projects. Key responsibilities include team leadership, literacy training development, recruitment, performance management, and coordinating academic services support.
The candidate must have a first degree and a postgraduate qualification in Library and/or Information Management, with experience in team leadership preferably within an academic library environment. They should be skilled in developing and delivering information and digital literacy skills, have good IT skills, strong communication, project management skills, and a commitment to equal opportunities.
The role requires on-site work at Docklands and Stratford sites, with some remote working opportunities. It involves a 35-hour working week, which may include evenings and Saturdays. The candidate may also be required to act as Academic Services Librarian, represent the library at university committees and working groups, and adhere to the University’s Equal Opportunities policy.
