Summary

The University of West London is looking for an Assistant Librarian to deliver enquiry services, liaise with students and academic colleagues, and support the learning activities of the university. Duties include creating and managing reading lists, managing print and digital book collections, providing referencing support, and participating in the design and development of learning materials.

The candidate should have a degree or equivalent experience and be committed to studying a professional qualification in library/information studies. They should have experience in a library/information/publishing environment, excellent IT skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize. They should be adaptable, customer-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role does not require a DBS check.

While based at a particular campus, the role may require work at any of the university sites as necessary. It is important for the candidate to have a commitment to professional development and stay updated in their field.
