Subject Liaison Librarian
Loughborough University is seeking a Subject Liaison Librarian to provide library support for the academic and research activities of specified departments within a School. The role involves developing the library's collections, enhancing the student experience, delivering information skills sessions, providing expert advice, and supporting academic staff and researchers. The job holder will also be responsible for managing the information resources budget, assisting in staff recruitment, and participating in the development of information literacy programs.
The successful candidate must hold a degree/post-graduate qualification in Librarianship/Information Science and possess experience in delivering academic support services, designing and delivering information skills training workshops, and having a good understanding of current issues in higher education. The post holder should also demonstrate excellent IT, communication, liaison, presentation, and organisational skills.
The remuneration is between £30,000 to £39,999 per annum. The job is based in Hendon and requires 28 hours of work per week with occasional evening or weekend duties. The university also offers a leave of 30 days plus additional bank holidays and university days. Applications for flexible working will be considered.
