Job Description

Summary

The University of the Arts London is seeking a Library Digital Assistant to aid in developing and delivering exceptional customer-focused library services. The role involves providing inquiry and learning support for students and customers, promoting access to digital resources and equipment, and participating in administrative duties.

Key duties include communicating with users both in-person and online, supporting customer service processes using the library management system, assisting with the upkeep of the library environment, and troubleshooting for library digital resources. The assistant will also help prepare instructional guides, deliver digital literacy training, assist with equipment circulation, and support ordering processes.

Applicants must have formal training or education to a post-16 level, experience in a customer service environment, interpersonal skills, basic training delivery skills, digital skills including understanding databases and using IT hardware, flexibility in planning and organizing work, and strong problem-solving abilities. The role involves manual handling and handling of electrical equipment, for which training will be provided.
