Head of Student Experience
The Head of Student Experience at Leeds Beckett University is a senior management role within the Library and Learning Services (LLS) department. The role involves leading the development and implementation of the strategic direction of the frontline library services, overseeing library operations, and managing the student engagement programs. The Head of Student Experience is also responsible for leading a team of professional and technical staff to deliver excellent customer services. This includes planning and organizing resources, setting and forecasting budgets, ensuring best value for money, and delivering high-quality services.
Key duties include researching student library needs, ensuring services are user-friendly and relevant, managing day-to-day library services, leading development of learning spaces and engagement programs, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the service.
The successful candidate should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field and substantial experience in leadership in a complex institution, preferably in a higher education environment. They should also have experience in designing and delivering library services and student engagement programs. Excellent communication skills, the ability to think creatively, and enthusiasm for professional development are also required. The role is hybrid, involving both home and on-campus working.
