Head of Digital Learning and Research Services
The Head of Digital Learning and Research Services at Leeds Beckett University plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing the long-term strategic direction of digital learning, digital library experience, and research services. The role involves leading teams in delivering high-quality digital experiences, optimizing the library's digital infrastructure, and supporting innovative services for robust and open research practices.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing the Digital Learning and Research Services, contributing to the Service's overall management and strategic direction, maintaining awareness of the University's key strategies, working proactively with stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring continuous improvement of services. This role also requires participation in external networks to keep abreast of current and future developments in the sector.
The position requires a degree and substantial experience as a senior manager, preferably in a higher education environment. Experience in designing and delivering services and technical infrastructure solutions, managing large-scale projects related to the implementation of learning, teaching, and research technologies is essential.
The role is a full-time position, with a probationary period of up to 12 months. The salary is within Grade 9 (£60,000 to £69,999). The successful candidate will be expected to work on a hybrid basis, with both home working and on-campus working.
