Head of Content & Discovery

The University of Salford is looking for a Head of Content and Discovery to provide leadership and direction to the Content and Discovery team within the Library. The individual will be part of the Library Leadership Team, responsible for determining strategic objectives and resource allocation. They will lead the strategic development of information resource provision and delivery systems, adapting to meet the changing needs of staff, students, and the community. They will also oversee the University Print Service, ensuring it responds to changing student needs. The Head of Content and Discovery will work collaboratively across the university, leading effective, high performance, customer-focused teams, and shaping partnerships to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and business models. The successful candidate should hold a degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the post, and have experience in managing change, delivering complex projects, and creating a vision for content and digital services.
