Knowledge Assistant
The University of Winchester is seeking a Knowledge Assistant to join its Knowledge & Digital Services team. The role involves ensuring all library content required by the university is ordered on time, updated, and managed effectively. Key responsibilities include ordering, receipting, and paying invoices; updating records and resource lists; managing collections; and communicating with suppliers, students, and academic staff.
The ideal candidate has a GCSE A-C in Maths and English, experience in inventory ordering or control and working in a content acquisitions or library service. Familiarity with Ex Libris Alma, Primo, or Leganto is desired, as is an understanding of library content or resources and the purpose and structure of resource lists. Essential skills include working unsupervised, attention to detail, and teamwork. The candidate should be curious, eager to learn, able to handle deadlines and fluctuating workloads, and demonstrate commitment to the university's values.
