Job Description

Summary

The Academic Engagement Librarian at Leeds Beckett University is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, identifying strategic opportunities to support schools, advocating for the Library and Learning Services (LLS), and ensuring that LLS services align with school priorities. The role involves building a good understanding of school needs, maintaining knowledge of all areas of LLS, developing tailored updates and reports for schools, participating in validation and quality assessment events, and representing LLS in university and school committees. The role also requires developing an understanding of the learning, teaching, and research activities of the schools, leading staff development activities, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. The candidate should have a degree and substantial experience in a higher education library setting, proven IT skills, strong understanding of academic engagement within higher education libraries, and excellent diplomatic, negotiating, influencing, and communication skills.
