Summary

Leeds Beckett University is hiring an Academic Skills Manager for their Library and Learning Services. This role involves leading the delivery of academic skills within the Academic Engagement and Resources department. The manager will oversee a team of Academic Skills Advisors to provide tailored support and skills development opportunities for students. Responsibilities include team management, partnership building with stakeholders, contributing to skills teaching, and developing online learning resources. The manager also needs to keep abreast of best practices in academic skills development in higher education. This role requires leadership, management, financial and planning skills, along with a degree in a relevant field. The successful candidate must have a commitment to providing a high-quality service and be able to adapt to changing priorities. The role is based at the City and Headingley campuses, with some home working possible. The salary is within Grade 7, and the hours of work are 37 per week.
