Summary

The job is for an Archives and Special Collections Officer at Leeds Beckett University. The role involves providing administrative and user support for archival and special collections managed by the Library and Learning Services. The officer will facilitate access to archive resources, develop and maintain information about the collections, supervise staff working with the archive, assist in organization and development of archives, contribute to procedures and policies, process catalogue records, support storage and conservation efforts, assist in research, support digitization projects, liaise with donors, promote customer care, participate in staff development, collect data, mentor new staff and represent the university in a positive way. The job requires a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, knowledge of best practice in relation to archives and special collections, experience in using IT systems, software and equipment, and physical ability to move and organize library materials. The annual salary range is £25,000 to £29,999.
