Summary

The Metadata Librarian at Leeds Beckett University will work in the Library and Learning Services department. The role involves developing and delivering metadata services to ensure resource metadata is up to standard and discoverable across library systems. Key responsibilities include maintaining metadata policies, developing workflows to create quality descriptive metadata, overseeing cataloguing and classification policies, maintaining name and subject authority work, and responding to complex metadata related queries. The successful candidate must have a degree and a CILIP accredited qualification in librarianship or information management, substantial experience in using MARC and non-MARC metadata standards, and excellent IT skills. The role is full-time with a salary range of £30,000 to £35,999 and is based on a hybrid work model.
