Summary

The Resources and Discovery Manager at Leeds Beckett University is a full-time position within the Library and Learning Services department. The role involves leading the Resources and Discovery Team to manage and provide access to library content, ensuring that the resources are up-to-date, relevant, and meet the needs of the university. The manager is also responsible for managing the Information Resources budget and making recommendations for resource purchases and subscriptions.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the acquisition and management of library resources, coordinating expenditure, making purchase recommendations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and developing relationships with stakeholders and partners.

The ideal candidate should have a degree or relevant professional experience, significant experience in managing information resources in a higher education setting, and proven leadership skills. They should also have a strong understanding of academic publishing and its impact on resource provision in academic libraries.

The role offers a salary within Grade 7 and includes a probationary period of up to 12 months. The position is based on a hybrid working model, with both home and on-campus work required.
