Summary

The Library Assistant post for RGU's Collections and Discovery team is a full-time position. The role involves managing information resources, operating the reading list and digitisation services, and providing excellent customer service. The assistant will handle a range of duties including book ordering, updating reading lists, scanning items, processing resources, and updating online records to keep the library's collections up-to-date and accessible. Working hours are 35 per week, from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate should have excellent IT and organisational skills, the ability to build and maintain good relationships, and a capacity to be flexible and learn new skills. Relevant experience in delivering high-quality customer service, working in a highly accurate environment, and working both in a team and independently are essential. Knowledge of library resources and acquisitions processes, as well as experience in a higher education environment, are desirable.
