Library Research Support Officer
The Library Research Support Officer at RGU is responsible for effectively delivering the Library's research support services. This includes providing guidance to RGU researchers on open access, repository services, and scholarly communications. The officer will be expected to develop and maintain an expert knowledge of key aspects of the academic publishing environment. Key duties include managing the ingest of theses into the repository, maintaining knowledge of institutional policies, and providing support for the journal hosting service and to researchers. Working hours are 35 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00h.
The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level with experience in a support service role in higher education or library/research environment. They should also have effective management skills, strong IT skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
