Reading List Assistant (Part Time)
The University of London is hiring a part-time Reading List Assistant and a full-time Archivist & Special Collections Curator. The Reading List Assistant will review resource metadata and ensure link correctness in the Talis Aspire system. The Archivist & Collections Curator will manage and preserve the university's physical, digitized, and born-digital archives and manuscripts. They are also responsible for handling rare books and special collections, providing collection-based teaching, managing access to collections, and conducting outreach activities. Both roles report to the Head of Cultural Services. The Curator will additionally supervise student volunteers, occasional internships, and provide training to other library staff. The successful candidate for the curator role should have a first degree in an academic discipline, a postgraduate qualification in archives and records management, and demonstrable commitment to Continuing Professional Development. Skills required include excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills, proficiency in IT applications and web-based systems, and financial and budget management skills.
