Campus Librarian (Reading)
The University of West London is hiring a Campus Librarian for their Reading Campus. The role involves managing the Library Services operational environment, delivering support services, teaching, and collections to support the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare (CNMH). Responsibilities include managing customer experience, coordinating with the Academic Support Librarian for CNMH, and participating in specific Library Services projects.
The ideal candidate should have a degree or equivalent, a professional qualification in library/information studies, substantial customer-facing library experience, and staff management skills. They should also be proficient in using library management systems and other technologies. Other essential skills include excellent customer service, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong numeracy and communication skills, and excellent IT skills. Additionally, they should understand learning and teaching, be able to apply new technology to service delivery, have experience in delivering library information skills training, and possess budget management skills.
