Open Research Librarian
The University of West London is hiring an Open Research Librarian. The role involves supporting all aspects of open research within the library services, including creating and maintaining metadata for research outputs, ensuring the academic community's needs are met by relevant systems, and supporting UWL Press and open access publishing. The position also involves promoting UWL's open research culture, providing scholarly communication support, training, and promotional activities.
Key qualifications include a first degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of the current open access landscape and publishing, IT literacy, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interpret complex information. Desirable qualifications include a postgraduate degree in information/library studies and membership in a professional body. The candidate must also have experience in a higher education or research environment. This role does not require a DBS check.
