Subject Librarian
The University of West London is hiring a Subject Librarian to support teaching, learning, and research activities for a designated school or subject area. The Librarian will work closely with academic staff to understand their information needs and develop appropriate resources. Responsibilities include designing and teaching information literacy classes, maintaining print and digital collections, managing a delegated resources budget, promoting library services, and providing specialist support to students and staff. The role also involves contribution to university activities and managing specific library development projects.
Candidates should have a degree or equivalent experience, a qualification in Library or Information Studies, and experience in a Library environment. Essential skills include strong IT, communication, and interpersonal skills. The job doesn't require a DBS check. The Librarian will also be expected to maintain a high level of professional development, contribute to published knowledge, and share good practice within the Academic Support Team and Library Services.
