Head of Library Service Delivery
The University of West London is seeking a Head of Library Service Delivery for its Library Services department. This role involves managing the operations of the university libraries, including access, circulation, and enquiry services, and developing effective user engagement. The candidate will be responsible for implementing the departmental plan and managing the Customer Experience team.
Key responsibilities include professional leadership, ensuring the library’s strategic aims are implemented, managing the development of learning spaces within the libraries, and overseeing Library marketing and communications. The role also encompasses managing health and safety, library regulations, budgets, and other resources.
Ideal candidates should have a first degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in information/library studies. They should have senior experience working in a library or academic environment, the ability to implement change, and excellent understanding of the higher education culture.
The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, high IT literacy, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and a commitment to meeting user needs. This position does not require a DBS check.
