Head of Library Content and Experience

The University of East London is seeking a Head of Library Content and Experience, responsible for managing and leading Library Services related to content and library experience. This position will report to the Director of Library and Digital Education and will be responsible for strategic leadership, managing staff, developing library service strategies, and managing budgets.

The ideal candidate should have a postgraduate qualification in library and information science or equivalent experience. They should have significant experience in providing and supporting professional library and information services, preferably in a higher education environment. They should also demonstrate innovation in library service provision, have excellent organizational and financial skills, and be committed to the University’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policy.

The role includes deputizing for the Director, delivering projects related to Library and Digital Education, and participating in external activities related to library services. The job is permanent, based in Hendon, with a salary ranging between £54,195 - £62, 418 inclusive of Outer London Weighting. The position requires 35.5 hours per week with flexible daily hours.
