Summary

The job opening is for the role of Library and IT Student Assistant at Loughborough University. The role involves assisting the Customer Experience team in delivering high quality customer services across the University’s libraries. Responsibilities include assisting users with directional and information requests, basic IT enquiries, maintaining a suitable library environment, participating in stock management activities, and undertaking clerical duties. The role may also require working at different University sites and during staffed hours from Monday to Sunday. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent, experience in a customer care environment, and knowledge of IT and information resources in Higher Education libraries. They should also have excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, good clerical skills, and willingness to learn new technologies. The role does not require a DBS check.
