Art Collections Officer

The Art Collections Officer at Royal Holloway, University of London will support the Head of Cultural Services in managing the University Art Collection and the operation and programming of the Emily Wilding Davison building's exhibition space. The role includes facilitating access to art collections, organizing and assisting with events and exhibitions, and developing the collection’s digital presence. The officer will also recruit, train, and manage a team of student volunteers and occasional casual staff. The job requires skills in communication, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail, as well as knowledge of collections care and museum practice. Experience in motivating and supervising others, event management, running a website or social media account, working in an arts or heritage organization, and organizing physical and digital exhibitions is essential. The officer must have a degree in a relevant subject, a demonstrable interest in art and visual culture, and a flexible and reliable approach.
