Team Leader – Access and Acquisitions

Middlesex University is hiring a Team Leader for Access and Acquisitions in their Content and Discovery Team. The candidate will support teaching and learning activities by making resources legally available and discoverable online. They will be responsible for licensing and acquiring online and print materials, managing the Personal eTextbook scheme, maintaining module reading lists, and overseeing the acquisition of resources. They will also manage the Inter Library Loan service and supervise Collections and Digitisation Assistants.

The candidate should have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Library and Information Science and substantial experience in a senior operational role within a library or information service. Their duties will include managing the University's eTextbook scheme and Reading List service, reviewing acquisition models, overseeing the Inter Library Loan service, recruiting and motivating their team, and collecting and analyzing management information.

The salary ranges from £38,778 to £44,545 per year. Benefits include 30 days of annual leave plus eight Bank Holidays and seven University days at Christmas. The role is based at the Hendon campus where there are no parking facilities, and candidates are advised to commute without a car.
