Summary

The Team Leader - Subscriptions and Partnerships at Middlesex University plays a crucial role in developing collections in collaboration with colleagues across the Library & Digital Education. Key responsibilities include managing subscriptions and access to online databases, e-books and journals; providing license advice and negotiation; troubleshooting problems; and participating in strategic projects. They will also work with various teams to ensure resources are accessible and suitable for teaching and research needs.

The role also involves managing a team of Collections and Digitisation Assistants, overseeing trials and evaluations of new products, building relationships with suppliers, advising on supplier relationships, and contributing to budget management. The Team Leader will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing management information, gathering stakeholder feedback, and representing the Library at internal meetings and events.

Candidates must have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Science, substantial experience in a senior operational role within a Library or Information service, and a strong experience in staff management and service delivery planning. Other requirements include excellent communication skills, knowledge of project management principles, and experience with library management and IT systems.
