Head of Library Systems
The Head of Library Systems at Goldsmiths, University of London will be responsible for leading and managing the provision, development, and strategic direction of the library's digital infrastructure. This includes managing the library's suite of specialist information systems, overseeing digital asset management, ensuring compliance with copyright and licensing regulations, fostering service enhancement through technology-driven solutions, and contributing to the strategic planning of the service.
Key duties include leading and co-managing the Systems and Content team, managing the library's suite of information systems, leading change management, acting as the senior point of supplier liaison, monitoring and ensuring budget compliance, maintaining updated professional knowledge on copyright and licensing, and representing the library at university meetings and committees.
The role requires a degree-level education or equivalent experience, a professional qualification in librarianship or information science or equivalent experience, team leadership and staff management experience, experience with specialist library information systems, and knowledge of current issues and developments within research or higher education libraries.
The position is offered on a campus-first hybrid model and is part of the senior management team. The salary is £50,000 to £59,999.
