Library Manager
The Library Manager at Norwich University of the Arts will be responsible for supporting the Library team with day-to-day operations, managing staff, and ensuring the relevance and currency of support. They will also oversee the professional development of the staff, coordinate academic and user-related services, and represent the Library at University meetings. The manager will be in charge of managing library resources, including both physical and digital content, and ensuring that users have access to these resources. They will recruit, train, and deploy Library staff, and facilitate shelving and other daily operations. The manager will also be responsible for enhancing induction processes, providing information and digital literacy workshops, and actively seeking opportunities to improve information skills within the Library service. They will work with the line manager to identify and implement service improvements, and will coordinate the production of marketing and media-based Library content. The manager will also manage acquisitions of books, journals, and online materials, maintain the Library Management System, and manage the Library's budget and financial records. They will be responsible for complying with University policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in staff development activities. The position requires a relevant professional qualification, a higher degree or equivalent professional recognition, and experience in Library/Information Management.
