Job Description

Summary

The Campus Subject Librarian at Ulster University will be responsible for leading, managing, and ensuring the quality of a campus-wide subject support service. This includes managing access to information resources and delivering a user education program. They will work closely with the Content and Licensing Team to ensure the provision of high-quality information resources. The role includes devising strategies and policies, developing working arrangements, leading a team, and establishing quality standards. They will also be responsible for managing the development, welfare, performance monitoring and appraisal of staff in their area. Additionally, they will be involved in budget allocations, service improvements, and the delivery of digital information literacy. The role also requires working closely with academic staff and representing the Library Service at internal University meetings. Relevant qualifications and experience in librarianship or information science are required, along with a user-focused approach and the ability to apply new technologies to support professional practice.
