Assistant Curator

This post is the Assistant Curator for The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum. The post-holder is part of a small, dedicated team, managing a collection of over 86,000 artefacts related to the history of the moving image. Responsibilities include cataloguing and managing the collections, supporting teaching and research, leading seminars, promoting the Museum collections, and undertaking practical intervention with collections. The role also involves managing the museum’s social media, creating and managing exhibitions, and liaising with various stakeholders. Role requirements include a museum qualification or equivalent experience, excellent IT skills, experience in documenting and curating museum artefacts, and excellent communication skills.
