Summary

The University of Winchester is hiring for the position of Contract & Supplier Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining internal standards and advice on procuring externally supplied services. This includes compliance in all aspects of procurement, supplier identification, and managing their performance. The role involves turning suppliers into partners through open communication and collaboration, and overseeing supplier performance. The manager will also handle operational incidents, manage risks, and control the operation of formal contracts for the supply of products and services.

Key duties include influencing policy and procedures, leading procurement processes, maintaining relationships with suppliers, reviewing supplier effectiveness, and negotiating contractual issues. The individual must have experience managing and negotiating contracts and building partnerships with suppliers. Basic contract awareness and skills in negotiation, influencing, and analytical measurement of analytics, KPIs, SLAs are essential. A degree level education and professional membership of a relevant body are desirable. The candidate must be self-driven, able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
