Space & Knowledge Assistant
The University of Winchester is hiring for the role of Space & Knowledge Assistant with the Knowledge & Digital Services department. The main duties of this position include managing the correct placement and accessibility of physical resources and content, processing post received for the library and multimedia center, maintaining the tidiness of physical learning spaces, and participating in large scale activities involving stock. The ideal candidate must have GCSE (or equivalent) in numeracy, experience in working with physical materials, and customer support. Knowledge of library or multimedia storage processes and classifications is a must. The candidate must be able to follow procedures, perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality, work independently and as part of a team, and have good attention to detail. Basic IT skills are also required. The candidate must be self-motivated, approachable, friendly, and able to fit into different teams. The role involves tasks like shelving books, moving large quantities of books, and handling multimedia equipment. The person must be committed to the University's values.
